Anti-Theft
What would you do if your Mac were stolen? With the Anti-Theft service activated, the stolen computer will immediately report its location, so that you can inform the police. All you need to do is:
- Login to our website,
- Navigate to "My account/Anti-theft,"
- Click the alert button to let us know that your Mac was stolen.
When your Mac goes online the Anti-Theft service will check the alert status, create a report listing location-relevant data - such as the IP address, Wi-Fi details, etc. - and send it out. When this data reaches us, it will immediately be forwarded to you by email and phone. Report this information to the police and they will help you retrieve your Mac.
Thief Snapshot
This feature makes Anti-Theft even more helpful for Macs that have a webcam. When this feature is enabled and your Mac goes online, it will attempt to take a quick webcam snapshot every five minutes. These pictures might catch the thief on the camera and will be sent to you along with the location report.
