MacKeeper's Anti-Theft Helps Catch Criminals!

Recently we've got a letter of gratitude from a jazz musician named Gerald Cleaver. His Mac had been stolen during the Europe tour but Anti-Theft helped get it back. Gerald's Story

"This is a letter of gratitude to Mackeeper. My name is Gerald Cleaver and I am a jazz musician. I travel to Europe two or three times a month. Despite all of my travel experience, my and my colleague's computer bags were stolen from an Amsterdam airport train en route to Utrecht, Holland.

The thieves were very professional, at least 4 operating. My fellow bandmate and I arrived in Amsterdam Schipol airport from New York early morning, April 6. We then boarded a train to Utrecht (the city of our first of 2 weeks of concerts all over Europe). At the stop before ours, A person dropped some coins near my and my colleagues feet. While our attention was diverted, both of our computer bags were taken. As soon as we realized it, we told train personnel and the train was searched. But they were long gone.

We arrived in Utrecht, made a police report and then I remembered that I had Mackeeper. I got online with my iPhone. Fortunately I had it in my pocket (my colleague's Blackberry was in his computer bag). I navigated to the mackeeper.com site and turned on "My computer's been stolen!" and hoped for the best.

All during the day when I could, I got online to check the mackeeper site. Nothing registered during the day and I feared the computer may have been magnetically wiped. I got online around midnight before bed to check if there was any activity and there was! Someone had logged in. I had all of the technical info and a snapshot. I immediately called the Netherlands police and emailed them the info. in the next day the mackeeper anti-theft program logged 4 more times. I sent the police everything and they acted on the info, tracked it to the address and arrested 2 people!

This all happened within 48 hours of me turning on "My computer's been stolen!". As I said earlier, I had just begun a two-week concert tour; a different city and/or country almost every day. There is no way I would have ever been able to do anything about this theft if it wasn't for Mackeeper. The Netherlands Police were very impressed with Mackeeper's anti-theft program.

Fortunately for me, our tour ended in Amsterdam (Sunday, April 17). By that time, the detectives and the digital researchers finished their investigation and preparation of irrefutable information for the prosecutor against the seller and buyer of my stolen computer. The information from Mackeeper has helped greatly in a wider investigation on the theft rings that work Holland's trains. I was able take my computer home with me (Monday, April 18).

I can't thank you enough for this outstanding program. Unfortunately, my colleague didn't have Mackeeper; his computer has yet to be recovered. He lost everything. I lost everything but the computer, from which I write right now. I'm so grateful to have it back! Many, many thanks to you all.
